Simple Tech Plan for the AMCF
What We Want to Do
We want to create a new tech system for the Australian Medieval Combat Federation (AMCF). This system will help all Buhurt clubs in Australia work better together and grow. It will be built using Wix.
Our Goals:
1. One Main Website:
We’ll make a big website for all Buhurt clubs in Australia. It will make things easier for everyone.
2. Manage Members Better:
We’ll use Wix to keep track of all our members and make it easier for clubs to talk to each other.
3. Help Clubs Learn and Grow:
The website will have lots of videos and guides to help clubs learn and manage their activities better.
4. Make Joining Easier:
New members can sign up online, agree to legal stuff, and get ready for their first training easily.
5. Make Money for Clubs:
We’ll add tools to help clubs make money, like an Armour Selector and club merch stores.
6. Stay Safe and Legal:
We’ll make sure all clubs follow safety and insurance rules.
7. Start New Clubs:
We’ll help new clubs get started with guides and help applying for grants.
8. Talk to Everyone:
We’ll keep talking to all members to make sure the system meets their needs.
Details of the Tech System
1. One Main Website:
We’ll make a main website on Wix for all Buhurt clubs in Australia. This will be the main place to find information and stay connected.
2. Manage Members Better:
We’ll track member info in real-time, help members interact, and handle admin tasks easily using the Wix app.
3. Help Clubs Learn and Grow:
The website will have:
- Training videos.
- Guides for running clubs.
- Legal info and a chatbot for help.
4. Make Joining Easier:
New members will sign up online, agree to a legal waiver, and get ready for training.
5. Make Money for Clubs:
We’ll add:
- An Armour Selector to help choose the right gear.
- Merch stores for each club to sell stuff.
6. Stay Safe and Legal:
We’ll provide guidelines for safety and compliance with insurance.
7. Start New Clubs:
We’ll offer guides and help for starting new clubs, including setting up tech and applying for grants.
Cost and Budget
1. Wix Hosting Fee:
- $1,500 per year for a 2-year plan.
- We might get a 50% discount sometimes.
2. CrazyTel VoIP Phone System:
- $1 per month per phone number, plus call charges.
3. Xero Accounting Software:
- $32 per month for accounting.
Funding and Revenue
- Membership Fees:
- Members pay a fee when joining, covering AMCF costs and insurance.
- Grants and Funding:
- We’ll apply for grants to help with costs.
Timeline
- Phase 1:
- Set up the main website by the end of Q1.
- Phase 2:
- Add content and features by the end of Q2.
- Phase 3 & 4:
- Finish club pages and support resources by the end of Q4.
Feedback and Improvement
- We’ll have monthly meetings to review the system and make improvements based on feedback.

- We’ll keep everyone updated and involved through regular updates, group chats, and direct contact with the development team.

- We’ll share updates through emails, social media, and webinars to keep everyone informed and excited.
